Chencinski -_Hasharon

Back to back Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv has loaned Canadian International Goalkeeper Tomer Chencinski to Hapoel Nir Ramat Hasharon for the 2014-2015 season. With Maccabi Tel Aviv's #1 returning to the club with eyes on advancing further in European competition, it was agreed that it was best for Chencinski to get loaned in order to play and gain further experience.

Last January, Chencinski was loaned to another Israeli club - Hakoach Ramat Gan - and performed well during the loan stint.  Chencinski is looking to build on that momentum with Hasharon who is looking to get promoted back to the top division after last season's relegation.  Stone Sports Management would like to wish Chencinski well in his transition to his new club and expects the loan to be fruitful for all involved.  Check out some video from last season's loan below.

Four SSM Clients Win The 2014 NASL Spring Championship with Minnesota United FC

Stone Sports Management would like to congratulate Tiago Calvano, Richard Garcia, Nate Polak and Tyler Polak for winning the 2014 NASL Spring Championship after tying the Tampa Bay Rowides in front of 4,132 fans at Al Lang Stadium. The Loons survived a 9-game sprint earning 20 out of a possible 27 points which was 1 point better than the 2nd place New York Cosmos.

The Championship earns Minnesota United an automatic birth to the NASL Championship which will take the Spring Champion, Fall Champion and the next two best clubs based on overall records in both competitions.

Coach Manny Lagos and his staff will have to make sure that the players stay motivated and not lose interest and falter as the Atlanta Silverbacks did last season after capturing the 2013 NASL Spring season. The Fall season will be double in length allowing for more roster rotation that should have the Polak brothers see more time and Cavlano to become more acclimated to North American football.  The tie against the Rowdies marked Garcia’s last game as he will return to play in Australia.

Jarun -_Palestine_Celebrating

Stone Sports Management would ike to congratulate Ottawa Fury FC Defender Omar Jarun and the Palestine Natinoal Team for winning the 2014 Asian Challenge Cup after a 1-0 win over the Phillipines  This historical accomplishment is the first major tournament win for Palestine, and the New York Times did a feature on Jarun prior to the Final to which he claimed it was the biggest match in the Naton's history.  Jarun traveled half way across the world in order to return to the National Team after a three-year hiatus.  Jarun cited Ottawa Fury FC's season and training environment as a major reason for his tournament's preparation.

Palestine came in the tournament ranked 165th in the World and 34th in Asia.  The win saw Palestine jump an incredible 80 spots and FIFA now ranks them 85th in the world - their highest ever ranking.  Jarun and the Palestine NT incredibly did not concede any goals during the tournament.  A great accomplishment that has made its homeland proud with celebrations lasting days back in Palestine and for the team in Maldives.  Jarun hopes too that the win will help Palestine's image off the field as well.

Garcia -_Syndey_ProfileGarcia -_Oz_NT

Washington, D.C. (Stone Sports Management, LLC) – May 5, 2014

Today, Stone Sports Management, LLC (“SSM”) is excited to announce Minnesota United FC’s signing of 2010 World Cup and former English Premier League player Richard Garcia just prior to the North American Primary Transfer window’s closing. The historical signing makes Garcia the first player to join the club with World Cup and English Premier League experience, having played for the Soceroos in the 2010 World Cup and with Hull City and West Ham United in the EPL.

Garcia joins the current Spring NASL Season leaders after spending the 2013-14 Australian A-League season with Sydney FC, where he scored 6 Goals and added 2 assists helping the team to the A-League Playoffs.  He joins a Minnesota United FC squad that has won its first four matches in league play, including two clean sheets.

"This is a great opportunity for me to continue playing uninterrupted from the A-League season, and I am very excited to join Minnesota United FC with the goal to help the club securing a spot in the NASL Championship,” says Garcia.  “I have been paying close attention to the team from Australia and pleased that the club has set a high standard securing the full twelve points so far in the NASL Spring season.”

Garcia becomes the second transfer from Sydney FC through SSM following Brazilian Defender Tiago Calvano’s signing in January 2014 and joints Nebraska native brothers Nate and Tyler Polak on the Loon squad.

"This is a fantastic signing for Minnesota United FC and the modern NASL.  Richard is a versatile player who can line up anywhere in the attack having been effective in multiple positions in a variety of formations,” said SSM’s President and Agent Justin B. Stone.  “I once again applaud Dr. Bill McGuire, Nick Rogers and Manny Lagos for recognizing Richard's value, having played in the World Cup and the top tiers of English football to bolster their already strong squad.  I am pleased to welcome Richard to North American soccer."
